2025 Waipu v Mangawhai Fishing Challenge

Every year, our Club members compete with Waipu Boat & Fishing Club for Bream Bay bragging rights! Two days fishing for the 2 longest snapper. Measure only. Last year the Waipu team took out the win so we need our best senior and junior fishermen and women to take back the title in 2025!

About the event
Measure In: 1600-1615 WBFC clubrooms, 100 Nova Scotia Drive, Waipu
Each club weighmaster is to present valid measure photos of their best two longest snapper. Photos to be able to be location, date and time stamp verified.
Fishing Area: Taiharuru in the North, East to outside the Hen & Chicks (max 1 km) and South to Te Arai Point.
Eligibility: Current financial members of both clubs.
Charter or commercial boat owners/operators are not eligible to participate.
Prize: The Challenge Cup and the Glory
